GRÁ GUINNESS UNFRAMED A4 Print
GRÁ GUINNESS A4 Unframed print .Perfect for fathers Day
A contemporary typographic print inspired by two enduring Irish icons: the Irish language and Guinness.
"Grá" is the Irish word for love. In this design, the word is reimagined using the warm cream and black tones of a perfectly poured pint, with subtle references to the iconic Guinness harp woven into the typography. The result is a bold, modern celebration of Irish identity, heritage and design.
This piece also carries a deeply personal connection. It was created as a tribute to my great-grandfather, who left his native West Cork and moved to Dublin in 1906 , where he spent more than thirty years working as a labourer in the Guinness Storehouse. He settled on the north side of the city beside the Phoenix Park, not far from where I would later come to put down roots myself.
Part of my ongoing exploration of Dublin's cultural heritage, Grá Guinness combines contemporary graphic design with a family story woven into the fabric of the city itself.
More than a celebration of an iconic Irish brand, this print is a personal homage to family, migration, work and belonging.
